Report a correction
Corrections are the fastest trigger this site has. If a fact here no longer matches the official source it came from, send it in and the claim gets re-checked against the source library.
Quick answer
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Correction report", the page URL, the sentence that looks wrong, and what it should say. A source is optional but speeds everything up. There is no form to fill in — plain email is the whole process.
Subject line matters
[email protected] is a single monitored inbox that also receives general questions. Start your subject with "Correction report" so the report is routed to the claim-checking queue rather than read as ordinary correspondence. The button above already sets that subject for you.
What to include
Five fields. The first three are enough to open a report; the last two decide how fast it can be closed.
- Required
Page URL
The full address of the page, for example the guide you were reading. This is the single most useful piece of information, because claims are tracked per page.
- Required
What looks wrong
Quote the sentence or number you think is incorrect. A short quote is enough — no need to explain the whole article.
- Required
What it should say
Tell us what you believe to be correct. If a limit, duration, or eligibility rule has changed, give the new value.
- Optional
Source
The official page, notice, or in-app screen that contradicts us. Optional, but it is what lets us close the report quickly.
- Optional
When you noticed it
A date, and if relevant where you were — an airport counter, a station gate, a payment screen. Useful for platform rules that roll out gradually.
Copy this template
Paste into an email to [email protected] and fill in the blanks.
Page URL: What looks wrong: What it should say: Source (optional): Date you noticed it:
The button at the top of this page opens a draft email with the same fields already in place.
What happens next
-
The report is logged
Corrections are read as tickets, not as comments. The affected page and claim are identified first.
-
The claim is re-checked
The statement is compared against the tracked official and platform-official sources for that topic. Where no source supports the claim, it is treated as unverified.
-
The page is corrected, or the uncertainty is stated
If the error is confirmed, the text is fixed and the page's verified date is refreshed. If the official sources disagree, the page is rewritten to say so instead of picking one quietly.
-
You hear back when a source is needed
If your report needs a source we cannot find, we reply asking for it. Reports without any source may take longer to close, but they are not discarded.
What we cannot help with
This site publishes reference guides. It cannot check your individual visa application, intervene in a booking or refund dispute, or give a real-time answer about a specific flight, train, or border crossing. Those questions go to the authority or operator that owns the decision.
For entry and transit questions, use the National Immigration Administration or your airline and the Chinese embassy or consulate in your country. For payment problems, use the in-app support of the platform you are trying to pay with.
Other ways to reach us
Every message goes to the same inbox at [email protected]. The subject line decides how it is handled: start with "Correction report" for a factual error, or use anything else for questions about a guide, a topic you think is missing, or a source you think should be tracked.
